A hiking and rafting trip that runs from dawn to afternoon through some of the richest forest tracts of the Periyar Tiger Reserve. The group will first cross a variety of ecosystems before boarding bamboo rafts. Rafting offers a bird's-eye perspective over slopes covered with forest. Elephants, sambar deer, and gaur are among the creatures that are seen staying near the lake's margins. There are two time slots for this program: 7.30 am to 12.30 pm and 9.30 am to 2.30 pm. There will be food packets available for you. Trekking lasts three to four hours, while rafting lasts one hour.

The team hitchhikes back to the boat landing by about 5 pm. An armed guard and 4 guides will accompany a maximum of 10 tourists. Tea, snacks and packed lunch will be served en route. This package is an excellent program for semi-serious nature lovers to feel the beauty of Nature.
