About The Tour
Nature Walk, a trekking programme which offers one with a unique opportunity to observe the many Birds, Butterflies and the impressive wildlife of the Periyar Tiger Reserve.A two and half hour trekking programme that starts from the Famous Periyar Lake which covers the moist deciduous forest and grass lands. Generally 4-5 km 2.5-hours walk. These programs are offered between 7 am to 3 pm in different nature trails inside the Park. Maximum 6 persons can go for trekking at a time with a trained tribal guide. The trails often pass through evergreen and moist deciduous forests interspersed with marshy grasslands.
The Timing of this trek is 7:00 am, 7:30 am, 10:00 am, 10:30 am, 2:00 pm, and 2:30 pm Maximum 6 persons and Minimum 4 person in which 4 slots going at a time.
