Ampelous flowers in Malarikkal
The Ambal in Malarikkal has taken a step towards spring. There are flowers on the opposite side of it, at the western end of the field, and you can only see them if you go a long way by boat. The current Thiruvaikkari padashekharam is 650 acres, once you reach the end of this road.There are flowers in the Thiruvaikkari paddy fields now. You can reach there only after travelling for three and a quarter hours in Vallam.

The ambal season in Malarikkal begins in July-August after the rainy season. When the farming season begins in October, the water in the fields will be drained and paddy will be sown.
Currently, boatmen are arriving according to the number of spectators. Officials said that the boat fares will be announced by the time the season begins.
The water level in the paddy fields has risen due to the rainy season. Please pay attention to the rain warnings and go out into the paddy fields only.
How to reach
Those coming from Kumarakom and Kottayam can reach Illikkal intersection, enter Thiruvarppu Road, reach Kanjiram Junction, turn left from there and reach Malarikkal via Kanjiram Road. If you continue from there, you can also reach Thiruvaikkari Padam.
